CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES

For over forty years, Schwab-Eaton has been providing construction support services to cities, counties, developers, and contractors. Typical services include soils, asphalt and concrete materials testing, documentation of construction activities and materials certifications, project inspection checks for construction plan and specifications compliance, contract administration, and project quantities calculations for pay vouchers. Our inspectors maintain up-to-date inspection certifications from agencies including the Kansas Department of Transportation, American Concrete Institute and American Society for Testing and Materials. Schwab-Eaton was the recipient of the Kansas Contractors Association/Kansas Department of Transportation Excellence in Partnering Award for services provided on construction of Highway 400 in Greenwood County.

Services can be provided on a full-time or part-time basis, depending upon the client's needs.

BRIDGE EVALUATIONS

Schwab-Eaton also provides in-depth bridge inspection and analysis services. Our bridge inspection services include the inspection of fracture critical members, underwater inspection types I and II, Stream and Scour conditions, evaluation and analysis to determine lad carrying capacity, preparation of repair details or maintenance recommendations and costs as required. We perform routine appraisal and condition along with special case inspections and evaluations for:

• Biennial/Interim Inspection Structure Inventory
• Major Collector Bridges
• Minor Collector and Local Bridges
• Urban Bridges.
• Collision Damaged Structures

All bridge inspection and analysis is done under the County's jurisdiction in accordance with the National Bridge Inspection Standards as administered by the Federal Highway Administration and the Kansas Department of Transportation.
