Schwab Eaton assisted the Dodge City School District with complete replacement of their track and field facilities and football field. The original track, football field, and related facilities were outdated and did not meet the needs of the school’s athletic programs. Schwab Eaton developed design solutions for new facilities accommodating both high school and college sports, while respecting existing topographic limitations. Major improvements included a new 8-lane 400-meter track, new field event facilities, new synthetic turf football/soccer field, and supportive infrastructure. On September 7, 2007, the Red Demons opened their football season in a first-rate fashion. Their game against Wichita East, broadcast on ESPNU, became the first nationally televised high school football game in Kansas. The American Sports Builders Association selected the synthetic turf field at Memorial Stadium as a 2008 Distinguished Multi-Purpose Turf Facility.
