Schwab Eaton worked closely with KSU Facilities in the implementation of the Grain Science Complex master plan. The plan calls for five buildings to be constructed on 16 acres north of Kimball Avenue and west of Denison Avenue. The campus consists of the International Grains Program Executive Conference Center, the Bio-Processing Industrial Value-Added Program (BIVAP) building, a flour mill, a feed mill, and a building dedicated to teaching and research. Three of the five buildings are in place and fund raising continues for the final two. Schwab Eaton provided surveying, design, and construction-related services for the site infrastructure including storm water management, water and sanitary sewer facilities, site grading, and paving. Several bid packages were assembled to phase the work and provide flexibility for future enhancements to the master plan.
