Miller Ranch is a mixed-use development in western Manhattan, Kansas, with 235 single-family lots, townhomes, a 20-acre school site, and an office park. Many of the upscale homes in the subdivision back up to wooded areas and preserved open spaces. Sidewalks and trails connect various pods of development and give homeowners direct access to a nearby park. Miller Ranch was the first development in Manhattan to dedicate large common areas with pedestrian/bicycle trails to the Homeowners Association. This was also the first development in the city to incorporate a parkway with handsomely landscaped islands separating the two traffic lanes. Schwab-Eaton prepared a master plan and subsequent development plans for each phase of the project.
